Junior Designer / Junior Architect

Entry-Level Position

Under the guidance of senior staff, you’ll assist in the creation of drawings, models, presentations, and documents across all project phases. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design team in the development of conceptual and schematic designs.
  • Produce CAD drawings, 3D models, and architectural renderings.

Architectural Designer I / II / III

Design-Focused Role

At Parallel Architectural Group, Architectural Designers at levels I, II, and III play a vital role in shaping the creative and technical direction of our projects. These design-forward roles vary based on experience, with increasing levels of responsibility, autonomy, and client-facing opportunities. Whether developing concept packages or translating vision into detailed construction documents, each level offers room to grow within our integrated team.

Key Responsibilities (All Levels):

  • Collaborate with project teams on design development from concept through documentation.
  • Produce design drawings, diagrams, and high-quality visualizations.
  • Translate design intent into detailed Revit/BIM models and construction sets.
  • Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to refine technical solutions.

Additional Expectations by Level:

  • Designer I: 1–3 years of experience. Focus on production, modeling, and supporting design development.
  • Designer II: 3–5 years of experience. Increased involvement in detailing, consultant coordination, and code research.
  • Designer III: 5–7 years of experience. Leads portions of projects, mentors junior staff, and participates in client meetings.

Job Captain

Document Production & Coordination Lead

This role acts as a critical bridge between design and delivery, coordinating between internal team members, consultants, and technical staff throughout a specific project phase.

In this role, you will be responsible for code compliance, consultant coordination, and ensuring high-quality deliverables throughout all project phases. This is a leadership position that works closely with Project Managers and Senior Designers to align technical execution with creative vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical development of projects from design development through construction.
  • Ensure code compliance, zoning regulations, and building standards are met.
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors.
  • Lead internal quality reviews of construction documents.
  • Support construction administration efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed architect (or on path to licensure) preferred.
